MG

MG is a governance token of the MetaGround.

Metaground has initially used the Klaytn-based KAPT token as its governance token. KAPT was used to purchase NFT Cards within the Metaground platform, and rewards were received for holding NFT Cards, and a certain percentage of compensation was also received in KAPT each time the recommender made a payment.

The Metaground team hoped that not only would the value of the NFT Card itself increase, but users would also be able to enjoy investing in real estate in the virtual world by receiving rewards for holding the NFT Card and using the platform. Due to the instability of the Klaytn network and the volatility of the Klaytn token price, the value of KAPT has also experienced many changes, and it was judged that switching to the Ethereum network, which has higher global scalability than the Klaytn network, would be more reasonable for the project and good for ecosystem expansion. Our Metaground team issued an Ethereum-based APT token, swapped the existing KAPT for APT and listed it on MEXC.

To increase the value of the project, APT was issued in 300 million tokens based on the Ethereum network, and 8.5 billion tokens, which were 8.8 billion at the time of the existing KAPT, were burned.

Blockchain winter is approaching, and NFT and X2E (Something to Earn) projects are experiencing the rise and fall. It is time for Metaground to further develop in the existing NFT and X2E business areas. Accordingly, we have rebranded our business as a virtual real estate metaverse that combines GameFi and metaverse. APT changes its token to MG (MetaGround) and seeks to provide investors and users with tokens and an ecosystem with greater value within the Metaverse worldview.

Recently, as the price of Ethereum increases day by day, the gas fees incurred on the Ethereum network are increasing. As a result, many people have complained about the inconvenience caused by high fees incurred when requesting withdrawals from Metaground wallet. Considering the future price of Ethereum and the direction of Metaground's business, we decided that continuing to use the Ethereum network would cause a lot of inconvenience to holders, so we decided to switch the network from the Ethereum mainnet back to Binance Smart Chain.
